HABB’s Women’s Networking Breakfast with Lynne Franks raises £1135
The Hair & Beauty Benevolent held its second Women’s Networking Breakfast with media guru Lynne Franks sharing her career experiences to over fifty movers & shakers in hair and beauty industry and raised £1135 from the breakfast.
Hosted at the Wella Professionals Studio, the talk included a scrumptious breakfast with networking opportunities between the guests, with the HABB Vice President Joanna Hansford from Jo Hansford then introducing HABB’s charity’s aim and goals within the industry.
Interviewed by Past HABB President, Hellen Ward from the Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa, Lynne enthused the audience with her in-depth career development from setting up her PR agency aged 21 from a kitchen table to becoming one of the most renowned media figures in Britain where she still now consults with global companies. But the real passion for Lynne is her belief in women’s networking and successes through her company SEED – Sustainable Enterprise and Empowerment Dynamics – which is a provider of women’s learning and coaching programmes on economic empowerment, sustainable business practices and creative leadership, as well as a global on and off-line women’s support network. It also includes a retreat opportunity at Lynne’s Mallorca home, which certainly became a hot topic with the audience after the talk!
The breakfast concluded with a raffle to win prizes such as a hand made Kent Brush worth £120, Skin Blossom Organic Bloom skincare products, a lunch for two at the Millennium Hotel, and the highly coveted book set of Lynne Franks own self-motivating books.
“Lynne has been a real force in the world of media and it was especially interesting to hear her experiences as one of the first PR women of note, her influence with television favourite show Absolutely Fabulous, and then her passion behind SEED and her new women focused entrepreneurial projects she is currently working on. Everyone left the breakfast buzzing with enthusiasm and focused.
Date for your diaries: Joanna Hansford says: “The HABB breakfasts are really coming into their own and we hope that more women join us at our next event with beauty editor Josephine Fairley on Tuesday 6th July.”
